Wherever you live, it’s an opportunity to take part in insect science, get to know insects, learn from experts, and have fun.

Multitudinous moths
Many more moth than butterfly species are known, only 10% of the group are actually butterflies.
Craftiest
Some moths evade bat echolocation by falling fast, ‘shouting’ back, sound warnings of poison and mimicking each other.
Chan’s megastick
The longest recorded insect is Chan’s megastick, a stick insect species from Borneo which can be up to 56.6cm long.
